New Era Cherry Pie Contest & Auction

The New Era Cherry Pie Contest has been a favorite winter event for decades! Contributions through the years have helped raise over $100,000 for local projects and area benefactors.

Requirements: Use a 9 inch disposable pie tin. Pie needs to be a two crust or lattice cherry pie.

Submissions: Drop off pies to 4747 1st Street (The Avenue Event Space) between 8 – 9:30am for judging. The auction will take place at 1:00pm, along with the awarding of prizes.

Divisions:
– Youth (10 and under)
– Youth (11 – 17)
– Adults (18 – 59)
– Seniors (60 and over)
– Business (any business is eligible)

Pies are judged in 3 equally weighted categories: appearance, crust, and filling.
Prizes awarded, up to $100, to the top 5 adults and seniors, and top 3 in both youth categories.
