New Era Cherry Pie Contest & Auction

The New Era Cherry Pie Contest has been a favorite winter event for decades! Contributions through the years have helped raise over $100,000 for local projects and area benefactors.

Requirements: Use an 8 or 9 inch disposable pie tin. Pie needs to be a double crust or lattice cherry pie.

Submissions: Drop off pies to 4747 1st Street (The Avenue Event Center) between 8:30 – 9:30am for judging. The auction will take place at 2:00pm, along with the awarding of prizes.

Divisions & Prizes:
Youth (10 and under)
Youth (11 – 17)
Adults (18 – 59)
Seniors (60 and over)
Business (any business is eligible)

Pies are judged in 3 equally-weighted categories: appearance, crust, and filling.

Prizes awarded, up to $100, to the top 10 adults and seniors, and top 5 in both youth categories.

Funds Raised:
This year the proceeds will help to support the New Era Fall Street Festival and community events in New Era.
